The House
Built in 1795 and originally part of the Goodwood Estate, The Old Store began life as the village bakery. The original bread oven is still a historic part of the building and the former shop is now home to our cosy breakfast room. When you’re not relaxing in one of our lovely beamed bedrooms or exploring the local area, we encourage you to make the most of our cosy sitting room and sunny decked terrace.

Sitting room
Our cosy sitting room is a great place to put your feet up and relax with a cup of tea or an evening tipple. Browse our selection of guide books, magazines and maps to help plan your local adventures.
Breakfast room
Originally the village bakery and shop, our light and bright breakfast room is a delightful place to start the day with a tasty Old Store breakfast.
Garden
Our bright and sunny decking terrace is the perfect sunny spot to relax with a coffee and a slice of cake or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening before you head out for dinner.

House rules
For the comfort of all our guests, The Old Store is a non-smoking house. A smoking area is provided in the car park. Access to the sitting room and garden is restricted after 9pm. Car park & ground floor
Our car park is flat and there are no steps into the house. There is space in the reception room to store wheelchairs, and the breakfast room is suitable for people in wheelchairs or with mobility difficulties.
The ground floor room has a small step, which cannot be ramped, and so is suitable for people with reduced mobility who are not wholly reliant on a wheelchair. It has a large shower room with high contrast between the floor and walls, bright lighting and a brightly lit mirror. The shower is fitted with a shower seat and two grab rails.
First floor bedrooms
The first floor is accessed by a staircase with banister and the single and double room on this floor have showers with a low step.
We offer to carry your luggage to your room for you and wish to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as we can.
